The Martin Luther King Jr. Christian Church along with fellow faith-based congregations acknowledge our country’s persistent and pervasive racial inequities that have led to violence and discrimination against people of color. We, therefore, as God-fearing people denounce racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, and all forms of discrimination and bias.
On Wednesday, August 26th, 2020 from 6:00 pm -7:00pm at the St. Thomas a Becket congregation parking lot in Reston we will come together as an interfaith community to support the call for racial justice. As people of faith, we will voice our collective perspectives on the fundamental rights and civil expectations we claim as the very fabric of our democratic society.
Come join us in support of a “Radical Reimagining” of our community that centers racial justice, equity, and equality.
This will be a safe social distance gathering. We encourage people to stay in or just outside their cars, wear a mask, and keep a safe distance.
