Our young adults are active in various Church ministries and activities, from maintaining the Zoom Church services to fulfilling roles in the Church services themselves. We feel a sense of pride and responsibility towards tending to Christ’s house in all aspects. With this spirit, the MLK Young Adult Ministry is heading a new initiative to cleanup and repaint the current Church building. This effort has been divided into two phases: the initial cleanup of the exterior of the building, and the Church Painting Day. We are happy to announce that the first phase of the initiative has been completed!

We carried out some much needed gardening work around the exterior of the Church building with the help of the Men’s Ministry. Overgrown roots and weeds were pulled, the bushes and trees that touched the building were trimmed, and all of the excess was responsibly discarded. Our next phase of the cleanup will be to purchase all the paint and necessary supplies. Church members will have the opportunity to vote on the new paint color from a palette of colors that are pre-approved by the Reston Association.
This post will be updated with the date of the Church Painting Day once it has been determined. We welcome all who wish to help with this endeavor. Let us all tend to the Lord’s house together!
A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water.
